BPM stands for beats per minute. It measures how fast a metronome clicks:
| BPM | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 60 | 1 click per second |
| 120 | 2 clicks per second |
| 180 | 3 clicks per second |
SpoPulse lets you set BPM from 1 to 1000.
In group modes, one group equals one full pass of the loop. A GPM of 60 means one full loop per second.
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Number of beats | Plays a fixed number of beats, then stops |
| Duration | Plays for a fixed number of seconds, then stops |
| Beat as group | One beat = one full loop. BPM becomes loops per minute |
| Duration as group | Same as beat as group, but stops after a fixed time |
Infinite mode is active when there is exactly one BPM point. The metronome plays your loop indefinitely and does not stop on its own. You end the run by pressing Stop.
Infinite mode is useful for:
Open BPM points and click Add BPM point. Each BPM point is a tempo marker. With two or more points, the tempo changes smoothly between them over the length you specify.
The field between two BPM points decides how long the transition takes. Its unit follows the current repeat mode: beats, seconds, or groups.
Under Sounds:
You can add as many sounds as you want, in any combination.
Click the ▶ number on the left of a sound to hear it. The preview plays without adding the sound to the loop.
⠿ handle on the left of any loop item.▲ and ▼ buttons next to each item. The order of the loop determines the sequence in which sounds play.
No. SpoPulse uses a built-in library of sounds provided by the site. You can choose any sound from the library, preview it, and add it to the loop, but you cannot upload your own audio files.
The percentage field appears in group modes. It sets the position of each sound inside the group window:
0% → the sound plays at the very start of the group.50% → halfway through.100% → at the end.By default, the percentages split evenly across all sounds in the loop.
Warning: If the percentages add up to more than 100%, a warning appears and the extra sounds fire at the end of the group window. Make sure they add up to exactly 100%.
Markers are extra events you can add to a run. There are two types:
Markers are separate from the loop and do not affect the running beat count.
First fires the marker once at the chosen position, counted from the beginning of the run. The position depends on the current repeat mode: a beat number, a second, or a group number.
Last fires the marker once, at a position counted from the end of the run. A Last value of 3 in beat mode fires 3 beats before the run ends.
Each fires the marker repeatedly, at every multiple of the chosen value. An Each value of 5 in beat mode fires at beat 5, beat 10, beat 15, and so on.
| Repeat mode | Marker unit |
|---|---|
| Number of beats | Beats |
| Duration | Seconds |
| Beat as group | Groups |
| Duration as group | Groups |
The same marker fires at different real times depending on the mode.
Yes. Each marker has a percentage checkbox:
Percentages are not available in infinite mode because there is no total length.
A wait marker pauses the run for a specified number of seconds. Waits accept two formats:
| Format | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Seconds | 90 |
90 seconds |
| Minutes-seconds | 1-30 |
1 minute 30 seconds |
The wait starts after the unit at which the marker is placed has played, and the run resumes automatically when it finishes.
No. In duration mode, the target duration counts working time only, not wait time. A 60-second run with a 10-second wait plays for 70 seconds of real time but still delivers 60 seconds of beats.
Open the Share section:
Anyone who opens the link sees the same setup.

| Loop percentages | Yes |
| BPM points | Yes |
| Repeat mode | Yes |

| Start delay | Yes |
| Theme | Yes |
| Animation | Yes |

A share link references sounds by name. If a sound is renamed or removed, that entry is dropped when the link opens, and the rest of the setup still loads. As long as the name stays the same, the link works indefinitely.
Press Ready to open the player. Inside the modal:
| Button | Action |
|---|---|
| Start | Begin the run |
| Pause | Freeze the run; becomes Resume |
| Resume | Continue from where you paused |
| Stop | Reset the run and keep the modal open |
| Close | Stop everything and dismiss the modal |
Pause freezes the run at the current position:
Stop ends the run and resets the counters. The modal stays open, and the last run's summary remains visible until you press Start again or Close.
Close ends the run, silences everything, and dismisses the player modal. Closing stops any playing audio immediately, including the end sound.
